A580 & M60/M61
The East Lancashire Road runs along the southern edge of the town, with the M60 at Worsley ten minutes away and the M61 north to Bolton.
Rail
Walkden and Atherton stations are both about ten minutes away with trains into Manchester Victoria.
Cycling
A cycle path runs alongside the busway, and the Bridgewater Canal towpath is reachable at Astley and Boothstown.
