This year at Clarke Residential Estate Agents we’ve decided to do something a little different to mark Remembrance Day.

As we get closer to the day itself, we’ll be putting up our limited-edition red and orange ‘For Sale’ boards with a poppy in the centre, and they’ll stay up throughout November. It’s a small but meaningful way for us to pay our respects to those who gave everything for the freedom we have today.
Remembering the Chorley Pals
Here in Chorley, Remembrance isn’t just a date on the calendar. Our town has a proud history, and the story of the Chorley Pals is a big part of that.
A group of local men signed up to fight in the First World War as part of the 11th Battalion of the East Lancashire Regiment. Many of them never came home. Their bravery and sacrifice have always been remembered, and each year our community comes together to honour them. It’s something that matters deeply to us.
Why We’re Changing Our Boards
Our usual boards are black and orange, but this November we’re switching them to red and orange with a poppy in the middle. It’s a simple gesture, but one that carries a lot of meaning.
You’ll start to see these boards outside our properties around the area. We hope they’ll serve as a reminder of what Remembrance is all about. Respect, gratitude, and community.
Proud to Be Part of Chorley
We’re not just an estate agent working in Chorley. We’re from Chorley. This town is our home, and its history is something we’re proud of.
This is our way of honouring everyone who has fought for our freedom and showing our respect to those who came before us.
We will remember them.
